MPFrequency.com

An independent MP3 hardware review and buying-guide site for people comparing early digital audio devices.

Company

An independent MP3 hardware review website for people comparing early digital audio devices.

Why it existed

It responded to a new and confusing consumer hardware market where buyers needed clear, impartial guidance before choosing an MP3 player.

My role

Co-founded the site, shaped the review and buying guidance format, and connected the content model to affiliate purchase paths.

What we built

A review and buying-guide website that published impartial product reports, with purchases fulfilled through an Amazon affiliate partnership.

How it was delivered

The site was delivered as a static web property using HTML and JavaScript, with editorial content, product comparison pages and affiliate links as the commercial model.

Outcome

Created a focused destination for people comparing MP3 hardware without selling the products directly. The company opened in 2000 and closed in 2001.
